The Importance of Training

Tragically, it is estimated that up to 50% of both men and women who use the Internet today, regularly view pornography.  The response by the church in many places is to simply put our heads in the sand and overlook both the importance of this topic and the devastation it is causing in our homes and families today.

It may surprise you to learn that recently the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (divorce lawyers) reported that 68% of divorces today involve one party meeting a new lover over the Internet. Focus on the Family recently reported that 50% of all calls from pastors are for help in overcoming their addiction to pornography.

The church can no longer take a back seat when it comes to teaching about the Dangers of Pornography and providing leadership in helping our members overcome and heal from this crisis. Whether you want to understand sexual addiction, provide addiction treatment through your Church or simply wonder “How can I help?” – the Center for Christian Broadcasting, Inc. can meet your training needs.

We provide addiction training – from basic level awareness for parents, teachers, youth workers, church leaders and entire congregations – to Modular Courses on DVD’s, all the way to an intensive week of individual therapy or a weekend group intensive both aimed at direct intervention in the life of the addict.  Whatever your level of need, we can help your congregation in making a difference in the lives of individuals and families blighted by addictions.

Addiction takes an enormous toll on a family’s life, yet the lives and well-being of the addict’s family is often overlooked in recovery support. Congregations can play a critical role in improving the health and well-being of children and families impacted by all forms of addiction.  Sadly, many church leaders are also involved in addictive behavior themselves.  Don’t stand by as addiction steals life after life in your church.  Contact us today by E-Mail or by calling (501)-368-0157!
