Dangers of Pornography

DANGERS OF PORNOGRAPHY

  • Pornography ensnares a wide variety of people in its trap.  Statistics show that there are nearly as many women addicted to pornography as men, and that 80% of pornography is viewed over the internet, meaning the effect of pornography is both pervasive and ‘invisible.’  The effect of pornography on today’ families is dangerous and deadly. Pornography is the number one reason couples are going to marriage therapy and the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (divorce lawyers) report that 68% of divorces involve one party meeting a new lover over the Internet.
  • We have talked to dozens of people whose families have been deeply wounded or destroyed by the wounds caused by an addiction to pornography. In one case, pornography even played a part in a murder case where a husband killed his wife.
  • According to www.covenanteyes.com, the number one term used on search engines is “Sex.” Users searched for “sex” more than other terms such as, “games, travel, music, cars, weather, health and jobs” combined.
  • At CfCB we want to help people create a different ending to these tales of addiction. Our resources offer help, hope and healing to those caught up in addiction as well as strengthen and support families who have a member struggling with an addiction to pornography.
